Way Ahead Films was set up to combine the filmmaking talents of television producer/directors Jason Beresford and Jon Doyle. It is an umbrella organisation which brings together freelance TV professionals from across Yorkshire to work in a corporate environment. We are proud to work regularly with James Routh, Richard Hannan, Owen Rowlands and Tom Richardson.

Jason Beresford is an award-winning producer and director whose experience ranges from Coronation Street and Emmerdale (ITV1) to The One Show and Animal 24:7 (BBC One). He started as a journalist and on-screen television reporter for Japanese and British broadcasters before moving on to produce documentaries at ITV Productions. During his time at ITV Jason worked on a variety of popular programmes including Holidays Undercover, The Beckham’s World Cup Party and After They Were Famous specials (ITV1). He also made The 100 Greatest Albums (Channel 4) and in 2007 he wrote and directed the award-winning short film Double Act.

Jon Doyle has produced and filmed a wide range of programmes for many leading UK and international broadcasters.  In a career that spans 12 years his credits include Piers Morgan On…  Dubai and Las Vegas (ITV1), The One Show (BBC One), Fred Dibnah’s Made In Britain (BBC Two), FutureWeapons (Discovery Channel), Crash Test Dummies (Sky One) and documentary series Partners in Crime (Channel 4) and Warplane (PBS/National Geographic Channel).
